Flight Status App Reviews

Just purchased this to track my sons trip back from the Philipines to California. It lists the flight, draws a picture of the route - and thats it!!! No progress reporting, no visual progress updates - nothing. Over priced and completely useless.

I was hoping this was similar to the flight track pro app for the ipad, but it isnt. waste of money.

Nice idea and graphics, but a number of obvious things dont work. Map obscures some sub-window(s), e.g., cant add flights to a trip. But you can for some flights! No apparent logic for this - its just a bug, and a debilitating one for this app. Status doesnt report when flight is due to arrive. Some reports indicate "late" while others do not. I agree with foregoing reviews - need to fix this or refund.

I would have given it a five star rating but earlier versions did have a bit of trouble. version 1.2 will fix the issues stated at least in lion. love the tracking it does!!

This is the biggest piece of junk ever. User unfriendly and unresponsive. Dont pay the money totally unworthit.

The App hides part of the user input windows behind the map, making it impossible to use. Waste of money. Does Apple have a refund policy for Apps that dont work? Update to purportedly fix problem will not load properly. Keeps aborting the download.

Update 1.2 doesnt update. Wont even do a complete download before crashing. This is a piece of junk. Doesnt Apple even try the software?

I do like this app. However i would like the app to be able to have modifiable trips once you add a flight to one. Also the TripIt syncing would be very helpful. I love this app on my Ipad. Just put all those features in this app and id love it more. Its a good solid app if your just tracking one set of flights for yourself.

Well… Ill never disregard the number of poor customer ratings again. This app crashes every time - period. Dont waste your money!!!

I only purchased this APP, as it says it syncs with TRIPIT. Firstly you have to pay extra to to get it to sync, and secondly it does not work.

Im not sure exactly what the previous reviewers were doing wrong, but this app has worked perfectly for me (Im running it on 10.7). This app does exactly what it says it does. I have not tried syncing with TripIt (which you have to pay for) or the iPad/iPhone apps but will in the future. I rated this App 4 stars as I feel it has a few nice features including adding notes to your trip, interactive maps, and intuitive flight searching. To me, improving the UI polish, the ability to automatically add ical events, growl support, and more preferences/customizations would make this a stellar 5 star app. The thing I like about this app is that its not only great for tracking your own flights, its extremely useful for tracking family members as well.

To sync with TripIt you need to pay extra. You ALSO need to be on Lion which the system requirements do not specify. Other than that, I cant rate the app because it wont do what it is advertised to do.

I try to put in the departure aiport (ATL) and it stills says select departure airport. I put in Atlanta ... same thing. I tried ATL. NOWHERE is there an option to select your airport from a drop down list. I have no friggin idea what they want me to put for the AIRPORT line. So basically. Its completely useless right out of the gate. Absoltue piece of steaming crap.

Just got this to track my wifes flight home. Tried to enter the airlines (easy) and then the flight number (impossible) the program adds a comma and gives me flight information on the first digit only. No luck deleting the comma. So far, this is totally useless

Searching for a flight fails with a complete app crash everytime. The flight number field adds a comma as well, not sure if that is causing the problem or not. It also doesn’t sync at all with the iPad and iPhone apps, even though that feature is listed.
